The Surpassingsun has set on this season, but the drama continues on.
Although Netflix announced there will not be a reunion for season eight of Selling Sunset, fans are still getting a front-row seat to the drama playing out online.
In fact, Chelsea Lazkani spilled the tea on speculation about whether Bre Tiesi or perhaps the show’s producers had set up the conversation the pair had regarding Bre’s friend Amanda Lynn alleging that Jeff Lazkani was seen making out with a woman in a hotel lobby.
Chelsea—who filed for divorce from Jeff in March after seven years of marriage—confessed in a post on X Sept. 7 that she was the one who asked production to set up a scene between her and Bre over Jeff’s alleged infidelity.
According to the reality star, costar Emma Hernan notified her that Bre filmed a scene with Amanda regarding the accusation. “I thought about it and I said, ‘This is gonna be a storyline,’” Chelsea said on an Instagram live with Jessie Woo on Sept. 9. “So I said to production, ‘I want Bre to tell me.’ The last thing I want is for it to go around to 10 other people at the office before it comes to me.'”
Why else did Chelsea—who shares kids Maddox, 5, and Melia, 3, with Jeff—want the cheating allegations to come to light on the show?
She said she wanted the scene to expose Bre's alleged ploy to have a storyline and get Amanda cast on the show. The realtor alleged that Bre “was gonna bring Nick Cannon onto the show” and when that fell through, her friend provided her information.
“She didn’t have a storyline,” Chelsea added. “Amanda called her off-camera, mind you, and gave her a bunch of allegations.”
From Bre’s point of view, she feels the cast switched up on her. The real estate agent—who shares son Legendary Love, 2, with Nick—told Entertainment Tonight that Chelsea, Emma and Chrishell Stause were all made aware of the allegations she heard prior to the show’s filming.
“Chelsea calls me directly,” Bre said. “We have a full conversation. Very, very clear. She knows exactly every detail, and we were in good standing.”
In terms of the role she played in this narrative, Bre said she simply brought a situation that played out off-camera to the screen. And when it comes to her wanting to get her friend a spot on the show, Bre noted, “Do I disagree with Amanda wanting to be on? Absolutely not, of course, she did.”
E! News reached out to reps for both Chelsea and Jeff, as well his lawyer, on the kissing allegations but did not hear back.
