Michael Madsen was arrested over the weekend following an alleged dispute with his wife.
Madsen, best known for his roles in crime thrillers such as “Reservoir Dogs” and the “Kill Bill” franchise, was arrested on Saturday by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, according to arrest records reviewed by USA TODAY.
In a statement to USA TODAY on Monday, Madsen's manager Ron Smith said the arrest stemmed from an alleged “disagreement” between Madsen and wife DeAnna, “which we hope resolves positively for them both.”
The 65-year-old actor was subsequently booked at LASD’s Malibu/Lost Hills station, where he was charged with domestic battery, a misdemeanor. He was later released after posting a $20,000 bond.

Madsen has been married to wife DeAnna since 1996. This is his third marriage. He was previously married to Georganne LaPiere and Jeannine Bisignano.
Madsen and DeAnna share sons Calvin, Luke and Hudson, the latter of whom reportedly died of an apparent suicide in 2022. The actor also shares children Christian and Max with Bisignano.

In December 2023, Madsen gave a festive shoutout to DeAnna in a Christmas-themed Instagram post. He shared a photo of his wife standing in front of a twinkling Christmas tree, which he sweetly captioned, “DeAnna Madsen brings Christmas back to Malibu once again.”
